Operations Plan during the 2010 Games

The Vancouver 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Games will be a busy and exciting time.  In preparation, we have already completed all regular and preventive maintenance on all of our sites in the Whistler corridor and in the Vancouver downtown core.  Extra care has also been taken to ensure all back-up facilities, such as UPS power and diesel generators, are in prime condition.

As an additional precaution we will be restricting all activities performed on any communications facilities and equipment to prevent any possible disruption during the “Condition Brown” periods below:

Although all of our sites will be accessible during the games , we do anticipate that road closures, security checkpoints and a general increase in traffic may lengthen our response times for visits to customer sites.  All our field and network operations staff will be available 24/7 as always to ensure that our customers  continue to receive the support they expect from us.
