Navigata increases Internet investment in Greater Kamloops Area
October 20, 2010
Navigata is pleased to announce the acquisition of the assets of Kamloops-based Internet Service Provider, OnCall Internet Services. OnCall's assets were acquired from the appointed receiver after OnCall Internet services was forced into bankruptcy by its creditors on August 21, 2010.
"Navigata has been offering competitive local, long distance and Internet services to Kamloops residents and businesses since 1993," says John Warta, Chairman of Navigata Communications 2009, Inc. "The addition of OnCall's customers and network to Navigata's existing base will help us foster competition in the area, bringing greater choice and more innovative services to consumers and businesses."
Navigata plans to make a number of network improvements over time to support delivery of high-quality, advanced telecommunications services to loyal OnCall Internet subscribers and the Greater Kamloops community.
"Navigata appreciates OnCall's legacy as a community leader providing locally-supported competitive telecom services," states John. "With the purchase of OnCall's assets, we hope to earn the trust and support of subscribers by delivering quality services and becoming a valued and active member of the Kamloops business community."
