Corporate Profile

Who we are

Headquartered in North Vancouver, Navigata is a BC-based, privately-held voice, data and broadband Internet provider with a 53-year history of helping businesses and communities find better ways to connect, collaborate, and communicate. We help over 6,000 businesses in Canada connect offices across Canada, in the USA and around the world with personalized, cost-effective voice and data communications solutions.

How we began

In 1957, Navigata built the first leg of its microwave network in BC as a division of BC Rail. In 1993, we became Westel, one of the first competitive long distance carriers in Canada, to address consumer demands for better, more responsive communications services.

Today we operate a national voice network and MPLS backbone with Eastern and Western rings to provide fault-tolerance. Our long distance network now reaches 98% of the Canadian marketplace and carries over 2 billion minutes of traffic each year.

The Navigata Difference

Helping businesses find better ways to connect, collaborate, and communicate is what we do best. We listen and learn about your business first, tailor a solution that fits your needs AND your budget, and then deliver and support the solution as your business thrives.

Our dedicated account team, backed by one of the best technical teams in the business, offers one point of contact so you can get the answers you need, when you need them. They'll also help you find new solutions as your business grows and changes.

We care about our customer's success and every one of our employees is focused on delivering or supporting someone who delivers great customer service. But don't take our word for it. One of our satisfied customers said it best:

"Everybody I worked with at Navigata was absolutely amazing. Whether it was help getting access to the colocation site or setting up toll free numbers, Navigata did everything we wanted, when we wanted. I can't say enough good things about their people and their ability to adapt!"
